Caravan Ministries is a ministry that reaches out to the community by providing food and clothing items to those in need. It is a street outreach ministry meeting the needs of the community on a personal one-on-one basis. Our parish supports this ministry through contributions and volunteering.
Salvation Army has a local branch in Batavia that our parish has supported through financial donations and through the donations of items to those in need.
Crossroads Ministries is an organization that provides residential services and care for those facing end-of-life needs. We have supported this ministry through fundraising efforts.
Haiti Missions is an area of support we have been a part of in support of an orphange. Our parish family has adopted a child and we contribute monthly to aide and support this child. We receive updates on a frequent basis on the impact of our support and development of the child we sponsor.
Nigeria Missions is a new and recent area of support that we have welcomed in response to the recent outbreak of violence in the Jos Nigeria area. Fr. Gus has been to Nigeria on a fact finding mission trip in response to civil unrest that has persisted in Nigeria. As a result of the atrocities committed against the Christian Nigerians on March 7, 2010, we took a love offering on March 14 and gave the offering to Bp Dave Bena upon his visit with us to take to Nigeria on a visit in March 25, 2010 to install the new Archbishop of Nigeria.
